Welcome to the Journey
In May and June in 2011, I embarked on an epic cross-country road trip from Los Angeles to New York City and back. This album was recorded in middle of that trip in Michigan; on the very piano I learned how to play on and in the living room of the childhood home I grew up in. Each song is named after the town I was at during each thousand-mile mark of the trip. These songs are what the sweeping landscapes and bustling cities of America sound like.
